#WIHM Women in #Horror Month Books!

What's Women in Horror Month without some horrorific reads?

Some new and recently released books by Women in Horror you might want to add to your reading list.  I'll include more throughout the month so be sure to check back!

Call for Obstruction, The Courier Book 1, W.J. Howard - In a supernatural world where Hell's been over capacity since World War II, Satan has no choice but to open the Gates of Hell. When Barry's tricked into signing a contract to serve Satan, he's faced with a choice to help release the damned souls onto Earth or turn against Satan's evil plan. Either choice comes with a price, and with a screw up like Barry at the center of it all, there's no telling if God, Satan, or rogue demons will prevail.

Chasing Shadows, Kindra Sowder Isabelle Van Helsing comes from a long and proud lineage, descended from the same man that went face-to-face with Dracula himself. Now that the world knows the supernatural exists, she is tasked with arresting and exterminating them, working for a government entity called The Initiative. And there are shadows lurking just waiting for the opportune moment to take it all down. After the death of a fellow Exterminator, Izzy and her snarky cohort and boyfriend Jonas McGrady, go to work investigating her death, finding that things aren't as black and white as they seemed.

Dead Girl's Ashes, Dying Ashes Book 1, Annathesa Nikola and Shei Darksbane -
What happens when you die?
For Ashley Currigan it means waking up, opening her eyes, and discovering who she really is. But it's not a painless process. Not when the person she loves most in the world goes missing. Not when a myriad of supernaturals want her dead, and she doesn’t even know why. Not when the very monsters who gave her eternal life want to take it away. And not when her only allies are a human wizard who hates monsters, and a vampire that's at least as much of a monster as she is. And with dozens of innocent lives hanging in the balance, does she choose to save her humanity and fail, or give in to monstrosity and save them? And in the end is there a difference?

Lizzie Borden, Zombie Hunter, C.A. Verstraete
 Every family has its secrets…
One hot August morning in 1892, Lizzie Borden picked up an axe and murdered her father and stepmother. Newspapers claim she did it for the oldest of reasons: family conflicts, jealousy and greed. But what if her parents were already dead? What if Lizzie slaughtered them because they’d become... zombies?
