New Lizzie Borden movie, Monster & Borden Fiction

Lizzie Borden Netflix movie

This time around it's Netflix's turn to air their version of the Lizzie Borden murder saga -  Monster - The Lizzie Borden Story, starting today.

Yes, it will be bloody, judging from the photos shown online.

Christina Ricci as Lizzie Borden

Well, we'll see. I've watched every Lizzie Borden movie, with Christina Ricci's series, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles a bloody, irreverent, and unique favorite. (2015 follow up to the TV movie, LIzzie Borden Took An Ax.)

Elizabeth Montgomery, Lizzie Borden

Of course, you can't beat the classic Elizabeth Montgomery version, The Legend of Lizzie Borden (1975). I've rewatched both several times on DVD and it might be time for another viewing.

Was Lizzie a monster? Misunderstood? Innocent? Guilty? Read on for some other intriguing  views of the murders...

Lizzie was acquitted of the 1892 crimes, but 134 years later, the questions, and opinions, remain.

Lizzie Borden... zombie hunterLizzie Borden House fiction

My fictional take based on the actual crime scene photos was Lizzie commited the horrific crime for an entirely different reason: her father and stepmother had turned into... zombies

Why not? There's every other reason out there. In Lizzie Borden, Zombie Hunter, I followed the trial, and excerpted trial and news transcripts, but there's more to the story and why.

You can read chapter 1 here.

The Lizzie Borden House anthology Includes 20+ stories by authors including NYT Bestseller Heather Graham and Stoker Award Winner Linda D. Addison.

PLUS! A new Lizzie Borden, Zombie Hunter story by me: "You Can Go Home Again."

* BUY: Get it on Amazon - Publisher: Riverdale Ave. Books -  Goodreads -  Barnes & Noble, ebook

Watch the movie, read the book. A great pairing, I'd say.
