Welcome to the 7th annual A to Z Blog Challenge in April!
Come back daily for more exciting posts and even some giveaways!
Today I welcome Terrie Farley Moran, author of the fun, summery beach read series, Well Read, Then Dead, Caught Read-Handed, and coming in July (pre-order now!) Read to Death.
Naturally, she's writing about....
B is for Beach
By Terrie Farley Moran
April is here. That means beach weather is coming.
Of course in Fort Myers Beach Florida, location of the Read ’Em and Eat Café and Book Corner cozy mystery novels, beach weather is always at the ready.
Café owners Sassy Cabot and Bridgy Mayfield spend
most of their time serving up book themed meals, organizing book club meetings,
and solving the occasional murder.
Luckily the café is only a few steps away from the
Gulf of Mexico so Bridgy and Sassy can recover from the stresses of the day with
some nice quiet time on the beach.
Bridgy loves to collect sea shells and is always
careful to only pick up the unoccupied ones. (It’s the law!)
Sassy often spends
her meditation time focusing on the horizon of the Gulf of Mexico. Sometimes the
two of them just walk along the shoreline and marvel at their good fortune in
living in a beach community.
And you? What do you love to do at the beach?
*** Oh, and I am sure you’ll need a beach bag to
carry along your favorite book, water bottles and sunscreen, so I am offering
the opportunity to win this snazzy beach bag (and some nifty book postcards, too!) Just comment below for a chance
to win.

ReplyDeleteI love this series...it's one of my favorites! Although I don't live near a beach, I love going to the beach. My favorite thing is watching the waves come in and go out...I love the sound! I can't wait for Sassy and Bridgy's next adventure. Christi King - cking78503@aol.com
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more--what go better than a beach and a bag of books?
ReplyDeleteI love finding new authors and the Read Em and Eat series sounds great. My favorite beaches are all of the Gulf Coast. I'm from North Alabama so I love Gulf Shores but my kids prefer Destin or Panama City Beach. myraball@gmx.com

ReplyDeleteI love to read at the beach. It is such a peaceful place. It's not beach weather here in Chicago yet, but I'm glad we are so close to Lake Michigan.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy this series very much. I can't wait for READ TO DEATH.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for a change in the weather, so yes I am ready for beach books to read. This series is a very enjoyable read. Since I live in Washington state, we have had some good days of weather so far (70-85%).
ReplyDeleteI love to walk in the surf.

I am so happy to see so many readers popping in for a visit. Good luck to everyone. Terrie
ReplyDeleteSitting on the beach with a book and a drink is heaven. If I get to warm, a quick swim. Repeat. Cheers@MarjimManor.com

ReplyDeleteI love to read at the beach. Fave way to relax! Zeta@iwon.com
ReplyDeleteGotta love the beach! I'm in San Diego, and actually prefer to hit the beach in the winter months when it's nice and cold -- so the beach is deserted. I'm originally from the east coast, so I'm used to the cold weather (and prefer it), which is why I'm so backward at the beach, and never go there to tan. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a beach person because I burn so easily, but if I go, I sit under an umbrella and read. :)
ReplyDeleteTime out on a beach is a great way to relax. It seems we all get so caught up in our daily lives. I know I'm going to need a relaxing break after this month! (but I love this month and challenge so very much!)
